In some great, “you may have missed it” NBA news…yesterday, Adam Morrison signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Portland Trailblazers (now just a 6 hour drive from his Gonzaga roots).  His ability to score the basketball has never been questioned, but health has always been an issue.  My hope is that this move will start a new trend of oft-injured, high lottery picks taking a journey to Portland to heal and get a new NBA life.  It certainly would beat the all-too-true (opposite) historical reality (see: Oden, Greg; Bowie, Sam; Walton, Bill).

Notwithstanding, may the NBA redemption of Adam Morrison and his curious facial hair begin…
